The Blue Ridge Community College Archive was founded in 2023 and started with a Bright Ideas Grant from the Institute for Museum and Library Services. The grant helped the library purchase the technology and equipment needed to digitize records and conduct oral history interviews as part of the library's goal of helping to preserve local history.

The Blue Ridge Community College Digital Repository is the home for some of the archive's digital collections, specifically our oral history collections and student artwork collections.
