Oral History Collections

Oral histories have been part of Blue Ridge Community College and Special Collections since its beginning and continue to be a priority collection focus.  We strive to preserve the voices of our community and provide researchers a more holistic view of the past.

Oral histories are our memories and stories. They help us understand the past on a more intimitate level by letting us experience events through the eyes of one person.

Our collections cover a variety of topics related to local history in Henderson and Transylvania Counties as well as the history of Blue Ridge Community College.
