Scope and Content 

This collection consists of the full day itinerary for VISION Transylvania History Day on September 14, 2023, outlining guest speakers and event activities. There are 19 photographs of the different activities attendees participated in and of the speakers. There also are two video recordings of the presentations given by Yvonne McCall-Dickson and Edith Darity.

Biographical History

VISION Transylvania is a community leadership development program designed to educate and empower community leaders by giving them opportunities to learn about local history and issues through monthly gatherings for a ten month period. The September 2023 meeting focused on local history and attendees were taught about the different communities and industries that have shaped Transylvania County.
