These oral history interviews were recorded in 1980 about the Kingdom of the Happy Land. None of the narrators was directly affiliated with the Kingdom. Some of the information they offer is from direct recollection, but much of it is hearsay and speculation. To listen to the recordings, contact the State Archives of North Carolina. Content warning: While the narrators describe the members of the Kingdom positively, some of them use racist slurs.
